How appointments work at Wurayo

Wurayo is appointment only. One client is in the studio at a time, so each slot is held specifically for you.

New clients begin with a consultation and first treatment. It is a working appointment: assessment, a written plan, and real treatment time in the same visit.

Please give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or move an appointment. Inside 24 hours, half the reserved session time is charged; a missed appointment with no notice is charged in full.

Life happens. If something genuinely unavoidable comes up, tell me and we will sort it out.

Your session runs to its scheduled end time so the person after you is not pushed back. If you arrive late, we treat what we can in the time remaining and the full session is charged.

Electrolysis is billed by time, not by area. There is no honest way to publish a total cost, because the total depends on hair density, coarseness, hormones, medication, and how the area has been treated before. Two people with the same treatment area can need very different amounts of time.

At your consultation, I assess the area, treat part of it, and give you an estimate of where your plan is likely to land. We then check in on progress and pacing every three sessions and adjust the plan together.

Collections are prepaid hours at a reduced hourly rate. Hours are drawn down by time used, are valid for 24 months from purchase, and are non-refundable but transferable to another person.

Your rate is locked for the life of the collection, even if studio rates change.

A new sterile, single-use probe is opened in front of you at every appointment and disposed of afterwards. Surfaces, equipment, and linens are cleaned and changed between clients.

Tell me about medications, skin conditions, recent sun exposure, or pregnancy before we begin, so the plan is safe for you.

Leave two to three days of hair growth in the treatment area — enough for the hair to be gripped, no more. Do not wax, tweeze, thread, or epilate for two weeks before treatment; shaving and trimming are fine.

Skip caffeine and alcohol on the day if you can. Both make skin more reactive.

Mild redness and small bumps for a few hours are normal. Keep the area clean, avoid heavy sweating, hot tubs, and direct sun for 24 to 48 hours, and do not pick at the skin.

Written aftercare goes home with you after your first visit, and questions between sessions are always welcome.

What happens in the studio stays in the studio. Nothing about your treatment — including photographs, which are never taken without written consent — is shared or published.
