Permanent hair removal for men
Men come to electrolysis for reasons laser cannot address. Grey and white hair has no pigment for a laser to find. Razor bumps recur because shaving causes them. Electrolysis treats the follicle itself, which is why it works regardless of hair color or skin tone.

Grey and white hair
Laser targets pigment. Once beard or ear hair turns grey or white there is nothing for it to find, which is why many men are told they are no longer candidates. Electrolysis does not rely on pigment and treats grey, white, blonde, and red hair the same as dark hair — the same reason it is the only method for hair laser cannot treat.
Razor bumps and ingrown hair
Pseudofolliculitis barbae happens when shaved hair curls back into the skin, causing inflammation, dark marks, and scarring over time. It is most common in men with coarse or curly hair, and shaving is the cause, so no shaving technique fully resolves it.
Electrolysis permanently clears the follicles producing the problem hairs, and is safe on every skin tone — including deeper skin tones where laser carries higher risk of burns and discoloration. If the beard area also flares with folliculitis and chronic ingrown hair, the same follicle-by-follicle approach applies.
What to expect on larger areas
Back and shoulder work covers significantly more area than facial treatment and takes considerably longer. We will give you an honest picture of the commitment at your consultation rather than understating it to get you in the chair.

- Can electrolysis treat grey or white beard hair?
- Yes. Electrolysis treats the follicle directly rather than targeting pigment, so grey, white, blonde, and red hair respond exactly the same as dark hair. This is the main reason men who were turned away from laser are still candidates for electrolysis.
- Do you treat inside the ear canal?
- No. We treat the outer ear only — the rim, lobe, and tragus. We do not treat inside the ear canal.
